I don't consider myself an artist by any means- I am not worthy of such a coveted title - I am a humble observer of art and have been obsessed with the artistic process since I was a child. Raman Samra is a Surrey-based self-taught artist. She expresses her love for music and visual art through large, vibrant portraits. She discovered her love for acrylic painting in 2009, as a creative escape from the pressures of daily life. With a background in Counselling Psychology and Art Therapy, her artwork is an amalgamation of her life experiences. Heavily influenced by pop art, Raman draws from society’s fascination with celebrity culture and fame.
